Soi Buakhao in Pattaya is Still Planning to Test One Way Traffic, But Not Until 2024

Pattaya, Thailand-

Not long ago, The Pattaya News reported that Pattaya City leaders had announced a plan to change traffic on the popular Soi Buakhao to one way only. This caused a variety of responses and opinions, but the majority of our readers in unscientific polling agreed with the change.

Then went several weeks of silence and the high season and busy Christmas and New Year’s weeks fast approaching with no updates. We have been continually asked at The Pattaya News if this change is still going to happen.

According to Pattaya City officials who finally released an update over the past several days, yes. However, it is not going to happen until “sometime” early in 2024. This will allow the busy New Year period to settle and pass by first.

Additionally, at first anyways, the one way change will be a trial only around the Soi Diana and Soi Honey area and not the entire road. If this trial is successful, it will then be expanded. The exact specifics were not released by Pattaya City leaders.
