Pattaya Gears Up for Grand Pattaya Countdown 2024 Celebration

Pattaya city authorities arranged a readiness meeting in preparation for the upcoming “MONO29 Pattaya Countdown 2023” on December 13th.

The meeting, chaired by Ms. Thithiphan Pettrakul, Deputy Mayor of Pattaya, was attended by key officials and representatives from various government agencies.

The focus of the meeting was to finalize the plans for the three-day event, scheduled for December 29th to the 31st, 2023. This year’s celebration will be held at both Pattaya Beach and Koh Larn, marking a significant expansion from previous years.

Mono Next Public Company Limited, the event organizer, presented a detailed outline of the event format, highlighting key attractions such as:

Live performances by renowned artists: A star-studded lineup of local and international musicians will be gracing the stage throughout the event, keeping the crowd entertained.

Dazzling fireworks displays: As the clock strikes midnight on New Year’s Eve, mesmerizing fireworks displays will illuminate the sky, marking the start of the new year in spectacular fashion.

Festive activities and food stalls: Visitors can enjoy a variety of fun activities and indulge in delicious food from various vendors throughout the event.

Special events on Koh Larn: The celebration extends to Koh Larn on December 31st, offering a unique experience for those who seek a different atmosphere.

Ms. Thithiphan emphasized the importance of extensive publicity for the event, particularly focusing on traffic management. To ensure a smooth flow of attendees, the following traffic restrictions will be implemented:

Pattaya Beach Road: One-way traffic will be enforced on one side of the road (beach side) from 3:00 PM to 1:00 AM.

South Pattaya Road and Central Pattaya Road: One-way systems will be implemented on these roads on December 31st to facilitate traffic flow towards Sukhumvit Road.

To ease traffic congestion and provide convenient transportation, free shuttle buses will operate from two locations:

  • Route A: Wat Nongyai – Pattaya City – Lotus North Pattaya – Dolphin Roundabout
  • Route B: Lotus South Pattaya – Big C South Pattaya – Harbor Pattaya – Big C Extra Pattaya – Pattaya Klang 2 Intersection
