Rotary Turkey Meets Rotary Pattaya

It was a warm and interesting meeting at Casa Pascal as The Rotary Club Pattaya Center International was able to welcome Umut Delil from the Rotary Club of Toros, a part of the big City of Mersin.

Umut is a member and former President of the influential Rotary Club, which was founded in 1989. A delegation led by founder Jana Suwannasri learned a lot about the tradition of Rotary in Turkey and Umut was also very interested to find out more about the newest Rotary Club in Pattaya. The exchange of flags was very warm and linked to the desire to deepen the contact – in Pattaya or in Turkey.

The Rotary Club of Toros recently provided impressive assistance when a large earthquake destroyed some parts of the country.
Members of the Rotary Club of Toros built a shelter in Mersin for people impacted by the earthquake. The shelter provides housing for 200 people and contains beds, a living area, a children’s play area with volunteer educators, and a bathroom.
The Christmas tree in Casa Pascal was a symbolic sign: it should bring happiness, peace and success to all people, for all cultures and religions. An essential task for Rotary.
