Prachinburi—
At 1:30 PM, on December 8th, 2023, Rabao Phai police and rescue teams received a report of an armored guard stuck inside a bank car for half an hour at a Shell gas station in Khlong Rang, Si Maha Phot, Prachinburi.
The rescue teams rushed to the incident scene with technical equipment to rescue the armored guard as the oxygen was low.
According to a report by another armored guard who was identified only as Mr. Teerayut, they were transporting money to an ATM at the Shell gas station. His partner who was inside the bank car handed him the money while Teerayut filled the ATM. However, a strong wind suddenly caused the door to close and trapped the armored guard.
Teerayut said to the rescue teams that he could not open the door and had called the Safe Guard Transport Center but it was too far for the company to immediately send help to them.
Mr. Suthin Khamthawin, a good citizen, witnessed the scene and called the rescue teams for help. After the rescue teams arrived, they took only 10 minutes to rescue the trapped armored guard out safely.
The unidentified armored guard cried with joy after being rescued as he almost fainted from low oxygen, said the rescue teams.
TPN media notes the money compartment was evidently sealed, thus the oxygen issues.
