Pattaya —

A young man in Pattaya met a tragic end on December 3rd when he was electrocuted to death. The incident occurred at an abandoned rental room in the Nongprue sub-district, Banglamung district, Chonburi province.

At around 11:30 AM, Pattaya police received a report of a person getting electrocuted at a building near the Mapprachan reservoir. Upon arrival, police and rescue workers found the body of Mr. Thepprathan Kamjornklang, 25, lying face up on the ground in front of an abandoned rental room.

Initial investigations revealed that Mr. Thepprathan had been attempting to steal copper wires when he came into contact with live electrical wires. The wires had been cut and pulled down from the ceiling, indicating that the deceased was in the process of removing them, Pattaya police said.

A friend of Mr. Thepprathan, Mr. Suphanan Channarong, 27, told police that he had seen Mr. Thepprathan leaving his house to collect scrap metal earlier that day. Mr. Suphanan subsequently followed his friend and discovered his lifeless body in front of the rental room.

Based on the evidence gathered at the scene, Pattaya police suspected that Mr. Thepprathan was attempting to steal copper wires when he was electrocuted. His body was sent to the Institute of Forensic Medicine at the Police General Hospital for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
