Bangkok Multi-Vehicle Collision Near Chulalongkorn University Injures Four People; Bus Company Acknowledges Driver’s Error

Bangkok—

At 6:35 PM, on December 1st, 2023, Pathumwan police officers received a multi-vehicle collision report of more than 18 vehicles that resulted in 4 injuries at Phayathai Road, in front of Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok.

It was reported that an air-conditioned bus, number 40, crashed into multiple vehicles causing the 18 other cars to crash into each other. It was reported by rescue teams that there were 4 injuries.

Meanwhile, THAI SMILE BUS Co Ltd., publicly stated regarding the incident that the company has investigated the 60-year-old driver who reportedly admitted that he accidentally stepped on the accelerator instead of the brake. As a result, the air-conditioned bus number 40 moved forward and crashed into other cars with force.


However, THAI SMILE BUS would investigate further and issue appropriate penalties to the driver accordingly.

THAI SMILE BUS gave an apology to the public regarding the incident and vowed to compensate all victims and improve their transportation services taking passengers and other drivers into consideration.
