Pattaya Man Wins One Million Baht in Thai Lottery

Pattaya —

A man in Pattaya has hit the jackpot, winning 602 lottery tickets and instantly becoming a millionaire, at least in Thai Baht.

Chakra Sariyajiva, the lucky winner, bought the tickets through the Pao Tang and Lottery Plus applications, securing a total prize of over 1,204,000 baht (around $35,000 USD).

Taking to Facebook, Mr. Chakra shared a photo of the winning lottery tickets, revealing that his lucky number “91” was inspired by the last two digits of his car license plate that was rear-ended last Saturday. He detailed, “602 tickets, number 91, 128 tickets from Pao Tang app and 474 tickets from Lottery Plus. Thanks a lot to my son. My car was rear-ended just last Saturday.”

In a message directed at potential money borrowers, Mr. Chakra included the hashtag #NoBorrowing in his post, stating that he, too, “Has debts to pay.”

The news of Mr. Chakra’s big win has spread quickly throughout Thai social media, with many people congratulating him on his good fortune.
