Update: Thai Police Capture Owner of Luxury Gambling Den in Nonthaburi and 49 Other Individuals

On November 30th, 2023, Nonthaburi reporters updated the case process on a luxury gambling den at a hotel in Ngamwongwan, Nonthaburi. Rattanathibet police officers captured 49 individuals both gamblers and employees.

Rattanathibet police interrogated the suspects and filed a lawsuit against them. Consequently, the Nonthaburi provincial court ordered a fine against Chinese gamblers and Thai card dealers from 4,000 baht to 8,000 baht according to the offenses.


Furthermore, the police officers captured the owner of the gambling den who was publicly identified only as Mr. Qi as he reportedly proclaimed the ownership of the establishment.
The police then escorted Mr. Qi to the Nonthaburi provincial court and pressed charges of possessing firearms and ammunition without permission and organizing gambling activities without permission.

According to a report by Nonthaburi reporters, the Nonthaburi provincial court did not grant bail in court as Qi had no permanent settlement and had penalties of imprisonment for three years or more.
