A motorcyclist, who was suspected of being a drug dealer by Banglamung police, was found dead following a crash on Motorway 7 inbound to Chonburi.
The accident, which took place early this morning on November 29th, happened near the 4th kilometer marker in the Nong Pla Lai sub-district, Banglamung district, Chonburi province. Pol. Col. Natthan Chantawong, an investigator from Banglamung Police Station, personally led a team of police officers, rescue personnel, and medical staff to the scene.
There, the first responders discovered the body of a man, identified as Mr. Satit Liaoyong, 39, lying beside the road. He had sustained severe injuries, including fractures to the back of his head and a deep wound above his left eyebrow.
A search of Satit’s body revealed blue plastic bags containing methamphetamine, Pol. Col. Natthan stated to the local media. About 20 meters away, a gray-black Honda PCX motorcycle with a red license plate was found overturned. Further inspection of the motorcycle revealed more narcotics, including a blue plastic bag containing methamphetamine, five tablets of ecstasy, and crystal meth.
Police seized the narcotics as evidence and determined that the deceased man may have lost control of his motorcycle due to speeding and caused the accident.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing, with the Banglamung police suspecting that the deceased may have been a drug dealer.
