Pattaya —

A notorious motorcycle thief, suspected of being responsible for over 40 theft incidents, has been arrested in the Banglamung district of Chonburi province by Pattaya police.

Mr. Pongsatorn Tinana, also known as Art, was detained by a team of police officers led by Pol Maj Gen Navin Sinthu-rat. His arrest was made Thursday, November 9th, initially by a special narcotics suppression team from the Pattaya Police Station due to his involvement in drug-related activities. However, subsequent investigations revealed that he was also actively involved in a large motorcycle theft ring.

According to police reports, Mr. Pongsatorn was armed with a self-made one-inch flat iron, which he used to unlock motorcycles within 10-15 seconds. He is suspected of stealing over 40 motorcycles in the Pattaya, Banglamung, Laem Chabang, and Sri Racha areas.

During interrogation, Mr. Pongsatorn reportedly confessed to his crimes, stating that his criminal activities were driven by a need for money to support his online gambling addiction and purchase crystal methamphetamine and methamphetamine pills.

Pol Maj Gen Navin emphasized that Mr. Pongsatorn is a significant figure in motorcycle theft cases within Chonburi province. He is currently in police custody, facing charges related to motorcycle theft and drug offenses. The investigation is still ongoing to bring all involved parties to justice.
