Pattaya to Host Exciting Basketball Tournament to Boost Sports Tourism

The city of Pattaya on Monday organized a press conference for the upcoming ‘Pattaya Open Basketball Tournament 2023’.

Mr. Poramase Ngampiches, the Mayor of Pattaya, presided over the November 6th conference, stating that this tournament is part of the city’s sports initiative to promote tourism.

According to Poramase, basketball is a widely played sport among the youth in Pattaya. It helps promote their physical development for overall health and fosters unity.

Seeing this opportunity, the Pattaya Tourism and Sports Office have decided to hold the Pattaya Open Basketball Tournament to further enhance these developments. The tournament will feature two types of basketball competitions: a 5-person team category for the general public, males, from November 17th to the 21st, 2023, at the Pattaya Community Sports Complex on Soi Nong Ket Yai.

The second competition will feature the 3×3 team contest, consisting of 6 categories, including Youth (U12), Boys Youth (U15), Boys Youth (U16), Boys Youth (U18), General Public, Male, Limited Degree (M – Amateur), General Public, Male, Unlimited Degree (M – Professional) from November 24th to 26th at the Terminal 21 Pattaya Shopping Center.

Mr. Poramase stated that the tournament aims to encourage youth and the public to use their free time productively through sports, develop skills, and maintain physical well-being.

There will also be a free concert from famous Thai rapper F-Hero at Terminal 21 at 7:00 P.M. on November 24th.
