Pattaya Receives Esteemed Transparency and Integrity Award

Pattaya —

The coastal city of Pattaya has been honored with a prestigious Integrity and Transparency Assessment (ITA) Award 2023 in the development category, owing to its exceptional transparency and outstanding administrative practices, according to the award organisers.

The honorary award, designed to assess transparency and integrity of state agencies nationwide, was presented to Mr. Poramase Ngampichet, the Mayor of Pattaya, during a ceremony held at the Government House in Bangkok.

The ITA Awards, organized by the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC), were chaired by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy, Pirapan Salirathavibhaga. The ceremony brought together top city officials from various local administrative organizations that had demonstrated exceptional ethical standards and transparency in their operations during the fiscal year 2023.

According to the NACC, Pattaya underwent a rigorous evaluation process, and it emerged as one of 33 out of 8,303 assessed organizations to receive the award. The accolade was granted in the category of “Highest Development,” based on the city’s efficient management practices, exemplary performance, as well as its commitment to fairness and transparency.

Mayor Poramase expressed his pride in Pattaya’s recognition and attributed the success to the dedication of every member of the organization, from top-level officials to staff members. He also emphasized that the award serves as a testament to their unwavering commitment to upholding ethical standards and transparency, which ultimately benefits the community.

“This accolade is a testament to our ongoing efforts to instill confidence and prioritize public service in order to meet the needs and expectations of the community,” Poramase said.
