Thai Prime Minister Inspects Chonburi and Rayong, Encourages Eastern Economic Corridor Development

At 4:20 PM, on November 4th, 2023, Mr. Srettha Thavisin, the Thai Prime Minister, publicly stated his views after a field inspection to Chonburi and Rayong.

During the visit to Chonburi and Rayong, Srettha rode an express train from Bangkok Hualamphong Station to Laem Chabang Railway Station. Srettha, Suriya Juangroongruangkit, who is the Thai Minister of Transport, and other relevant officials held a meeting on various economic and political topics inside the express train.

Srettha tweeted on X regarding his intention to ride the train to Laem Chabang, Chonburi. Srettha also complimented the convenience and cleanliness of railway transportation.
Furthermore, Srettha held a meeting for a field inspection on the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) with relevant officials.

The EEC is a special economic zone of three provinces in eastern Thailand: Chachoengsao, Chonburi, and Rayong.
“The EEC is a location that is providing Thailand preparation needed on utilities such as water systems, tax measures, and other crucial measures to build foreign investor confidence,” added Srettha.

The PM did not visit Pattaya, notes TPN Media.
