Thailand Donates 3 Million Baht to UN for Palestine Refugees, Calls for Release of Thai Hostages

On November 3rd, 2023, Mr. Panpri Phahitthanukon, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, was a Thai representative to donate 3 million baht to the United Nations (UN) for Palestine refugees.

Panpri expressed his condolences to those who lost their lives on duty in the Gaza Strip and hoped the donation would relieve the burden of the Gaza citizens from lack of food, medical supplies, energy sources, and shelter from the ongoing war.
Mr. Giuseppe De Vincentiis, the Acting United Nations Coordinator, expressed wholehearted gratitude for the support from Thailand and continuous cooperation with the UN.


Furthermore, Panpri discussed issues with the ministers from Iran, Qatar, and Egypt on Thai people being held hostages by Hamas. “Thai workers in Israel have nothing to do with the political conflict between the countries and should be released as soon as possible,” said the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
