Chinese Man Rescued by Pattaya Rescue Team After Almost Drowning Himself

Pattaya —

A Chinese man, who walked into the sea in Naklua without wearing any clothes, was rescued 500 meters off the coastline by a rescue team early Sunday morning. According to his relatives, the man reportedly became upset with his girlfriend and attempted to drown himself.

The victim, whose name was withheld to protect his privacy, was safely rescued by a rescue team from the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Foundation at 2:30 AM yesterday, October 29th.

According to the rescue team, they were notified by the victim’s relatives that the victim had waded into the waves at Krating Lai Beach behind a hotel in the Naklua sub-district, Banglamung district, Chonburi province, after becoming upset with his Chinese girlfriend.

The rescue team swiftly arrived at the beach to find the victim’s unidentified relatives and his girlfriend. After being informed that the victim had been missing for more than an hour, the life-saving team immediately launched two inshore lifeboats to search for the Chinese victim.

The tireless search continued for an hour, but there was still no sign of the man. It wasn’t until the second hour that the team was finally able to locate the Chinese victim floating in the middle of the sea, approximately 500 meters from the shore, in a distressed state.

The victim was safely brought aboard the boat and returned to the shore. His relatives and girlfriend tearfully consoled him, providing him with a towel and hugging him.

It was not made known why the victim had become upset with his partner in the first place.

On October 23rd, a Thai woman tried to commit a similar incident after getting angry with his boyfriend. She was safely rescued by a young Thai beachgoer who was hanging out on Pattaya Beach at night.
