Three people have been pronounced dead at the scene after a jet-ski crashed into a passenger long-tail boat in the Bang Phli district.
Emergency responders were notified of the accident on Saturday (October 28th) at the Nong Ngu Hao Canal in Soi Wat Sri Waree Noi, Srisa Chorakhe Noi sub-district.
They arrived at the scene to find the damaged jet-ski and the long-tail boat. Three people who were on the long-tailed boat were pronounced dead at the scene who were later identified as Ms. Warissara Sangjan, 29, Mr. Sarawut Aoumwongprem, 28, and Mr. Kritsada Worasukang, 30.
Severe wounds were found on their bodies and all three deaths were local people who lived nearby the scene.
Witnesses told Thai media that there were four jet-skis racing at high speed in the canal. The long tailed boat was on the right side of the canal when one of the jet skis lost control, allegedly due to waves caused by other jet skis, and crashed into the boat.
The jet-ski rider, who wasn’t identified, was thrown into the canal water but survived. The jet-ski then slammed into the long-tail boat hitting multiple passengers. The Bang Sao Thong Police are continuing their investigation for further legal action.
