A 65-year-old man was moderately injured after his pickup truck collided with another truck on Sukhumvit Road inbound to Sattahip district on Thursday evening, October 26th.
The collision resulted in the pickup truck piling onto the hood of another truck. The accident was reported to the Phlu Ta Luang Police Station at 4:25 PM, prompting police and emergency responders to rush to the scene at the front of Ek Thani Market in the Phlu Ta Luang area of Sattahip district, Chonburi province.
There, two trucks, a white Mitsubishi Triton and a blue Isuzu, were discovered stacked on top of each other on the traffic island. The driver of the white truck, identified as 27-year-old Phongpipat Limphoyoi, was rescued by the emergency team and found to be uninjured. Conversely, the driver of the blue truck, which was atop the white truck, 65-year-old Pairot Chumla-ong, sustained moderate injuries and was promptly taken to a nearby hospital.
Based on the CCTV footage released by the police, the blue truck made a sudden turn while the white truck was ascending the overpass, resulting in the collision.
Phlu Ta Luang police mentioned that they would summon both parties for further questioning and possible legal actions once they have recovered.
