Walking Street Hit-and-Run Incident: Alleged Drunk Foreign Tourist Hits Thai Woman with Motorcycle

On October 13th, 2023, Pattaya City police officers received a hit-and-run motorcycle report on a Thai woman at Walking Street, Pattaya.

An unidentified foreign tourist, reportedly drunk, hit an unidentified Thai woman with a motorcycle and ran away. The victim told the Pattaya City police officers that she was riding her motorcycle and parked on a side road because a speeding motorcycle was coming her way. As a result, she was accidentally slightly hit by the other vehicle causing her injury and damage to her motorcycle.

The alleged hit-and-run tourist attempted to flee and was captured later by good citizens.
Mr. Wittaya Kradprathum, a 53-year-old witness, told Pattaya City police officers that he witnessed the motorcycle hit the Thai victim, and followed the alleged tourist with his friends. Shortly after, Wittaya and his friends were able to take hold of the alleged tourist.


Initially, the Pattaya City police officers escorted the alleged hit-and-run tourist and the Thai victim to the Pattaya City police station for mediation on compensation before releasing the alleged tourist.

Both sides agreed to an undisclosed financial settlement and as a result no further legal action would take place.
