At 10:00 PM, on October 13th, 2023, the Thai media reported that tourism in the Pattaya area during the long holiday had many Thai and foreign tourists visiting Pattaya Beach and Walking Street in South Pattaya.
The Pattaya City Police officers, tourist police, and other relevant officers inspected the Pattaya beach area and Walking Street for the safety of the tourists
Furthermore, the police squad still focused on inspecting teenagers in the Pattaya beach area for illegal weapons and illicit substances. The purposes of the inspection were deterrence and public order.
Additionally, unaccompanied minors without a parent or legal guardian were told to leave the beach, per an ongoing safety campaign by police promoted by multiple recent violent incidents like this one.
The long holiday weekend is due to the seventh anniversary of the death of King Rama IX The Great.
