Pattaya Classical Guitar Festival & Competition Coming in November 2023

The Pattaya Classical Guitar Festival & Competition 2023 at Siam Bayshore Pattaya will be held on Sunday the 12th of November 2023.

Siam Bayshore Pattaya and the Thailand Guitar Society proudly present the 15th annual Pattaya Classical Guitar Festival & Competition 2023 on Sunday the 12th of November 2023 at the Siam Bayshore Resort, Pattaya.

This year the organisers of the festival are bringing the French Guitarist Gerard Abiton for the second time after 2018 to Pattaya. Back in 2018 the festival was a huge success.

The festival is the only event of its kind in Thailand, showcasing many of the world’s top guitar makers and musicians. The festival is open to the public, with collectors, players, music lovers, students and general enthusiasts strongly encouraged to attend. The festival is surely the biggest and most vibrant event for classical guitar aficionados and music lovers on the Eastern Seaboard.

This event will kick off with the senior, junior under 13 year old and under 18 year old competitions at 09:30, followed by a guitar exhibition at 16:00, followed by an afternoon concert with virtuoso guitarist and the winner of last year’s competition – Vladimir Gapontsev at 17.00 and the CGO *Classic Guitar Orchestra) comprising international members at 18.00. The orchestra is based in Bangkok, managed and conducted by Sira Tindukasiri.

The festival highlight “Guitar Night” will start at 19.00 featuring the popular Siam Guitar Quartet,
expert strumming renowned guitarist Leon Koudelak, Pongpat Pongpradit and maestro Gerard Abiton who will perform a full set of music from spanish composer Isaac Albeniz.
A ‘must see’ for all guitar fans and aficionados!
