Thai Satellite THEOS-2 Launch Postponed due to Electric Issue

The launch of the Thailand Earth Observation Satellite 2 (THEOS-2) which was scheduled on Saturday (October 7th) has been postponed.

Thailand’s second earth observation satellite, known as THEOS-2, is set to launch into orbit on October 7, according to Minister of Higher Education Science Research and Innovation Supamas Isarabhakdi.

Now for the update:

At 10:36 A.M. on Saturday (October 7th), the Minister of Higher Education Science Research and Innovation Supamas Isarabhakdi who was at the Arianespace Centre in South America where the THEOS-2 Satellite was set to be launched told the press about the delay.

The THEOS-2 Satellite was scheduled to be launched at 07:36 A.M. Thailand time. However, technicians found that the satellite was unable to be launched because of overloading electricity before the launch from the Vega Rocket which was being used to launch the satellite. The next schedule to launch the satellite is being discussed.
