Sting Operation: Banglamung Police Capture 3 Alleged Drug Dealers, 2 Handguns and Almost 8,000 Meth Pills Found

On October 6th, 2023, Banglamung Police officers revealed to The Pattaya News an operation to capture Mueang Klaeng drug dealers linked to a drug lord called “Tam Bowin”. Seized in the operation were 7,842 amphetamine pills and 2 handguns.

The Banglamung special operations team and relevant units executed a plan to capture 3 alleged drug dealers located in a house in Klaeng, Rayong, identified as Mr Chatchapak Phuengkum, 43-years-old, Ms Busarin Phonsiri, 30-years-old, and Mr Rueangroj Phuengkhum, 37-years-old.

Banglamung police sources reported that those 3 individuals were linked to illicit substances in the Pattaya area and many areas of the eastern region. They normally had customers contact them from Facebook, so undercover agents messaged them to buy drugs.


At 8:15 PM on October 4th, 2023, the Banglamung special operations team executed a sting operation, they enclosed escape routes in a narrow street before luring the alleged drug dealers to their trap. The 3 alleged drug dealers then reportedly confessed that they bought the amphetamine pills from another drug dealer called “Tam Bowin”.

Banglamung police officers will conduct a further investigation to hold the involved individuals accountable for their crimes and to track down the elusive Tam Bowin.
