7-Year-Old Girl Rescued from Jomtien Sea by Lifeguards

Pattaya —

A 7-year-old girl was rushed to the nearest hospital after nearly drowning in the sea at Jomtien Beach. She was rescued by lifeguards stationed on the beach.

The near-drowning incident unfolded on Monday evening at 6 PM, October 2nd at Jomtien Beach, Chonburi province. Sawang Boriboon rescue services and The Pattaya News rushed to the scene to inspect the situation.

Upon arrival, a group of lifeguards was pulling a 7-year-old girl from the water. Her name has been withheld by The Pattaya News due to her age.

Lifeguard Mr. Songkarn Prathan told The Pattaya News that the girl was swimming in the sea with her older brother when the latter reportedly accidentally pulled her shirt, causing the child to disappear underwater. However, the girl was quickly rescued by lifeguards at the beach.

She received life-saving CPR from the lifeguards before being rushed to Bangkok Pattaya Hospital. She is expected to recover.
