New Tourist Police Office Opens in Jomtien

Pattaya/Jomtien —

A new Tourist Police Office Building was officially opened in Jomtien, to provide convenience to tourists looking for help.

The new building is located at 406/357 on Jomtien Beach Road, Nongprue sub-district, Banglamung district, Chonburi province, near Tinnie’s Pies. It is a three-story, concrete building that was constructed with a budget of 2 million baht on government-owned land under the Treasury Department.

The ground floor of the building consists of the reception area, operations center, offices, and detention and control rooms. The second floor includes storage rooms for evidence and workspaces for commissioned police officers. The third floor serves as accommodation for some tourist police personnel under the 2nd division.

Pol. Lt. Gen. Sukun Phrommaion, commander of the Tourist Police, presided over the opening ceremony of the office on Wednesday, September 27th. He said the Tourist Police Division has a policy to enhance its investigative work to be more comprehensive and efficient, following the “One-Stop Service”‘ concept.

The new building is part of this initiative, and it will provide a variety of services to tourists and investigative capabilities.
