Pattaya Loma Run on the Beach Attracts over 1,800 Runners

Pattaya —

The charity Pattaya Loma Run on the Beach 2023 has succeeded in attracting over 1,800 runners across the country. At 04:45 AM today, September 24th, Mr. Krisana Boonsawad, the Deputy Mayor of Pattaya, took the helm as the presiding official for the opening ceremony and prize distribution at the walk-run event.

He was joined by distinguished guests including Mr. Songwut Charoenjit, the Assistant Secretary of the Pattaya City Council, Ms. Praichit Jetaphai, the copyright owner of the Loma Run on the Beach event, and representatives from the Human Help Network Foundation (HHN) Thailand.

The annual event is a collaborative effort between the city of Pattaya and the HHN foundation, marking its 9th consecutive year at Jomtien Beach, Pattaya City.

The event serves a dual purpose: to promote the concept of Pattaya as a “Sports City” and to encourage the local community and tourists to maintain good health and well-being. It also fosters community engagement and public-private partnerships to support activities for the greater good.

Furthermore, the Loma Run on the Beach contributes to charitable initiatives for children, youth, and marginalized individuals in Thai society. After covering event expenses, the proceeds will be dedicated to supporting the HHN foundation’s child welfare programs and aiding underprivileged patients at Pattaya Hospital in the future.

Considered a massive success once again by Mr. Krisana, this year’s event attracted a diverse field of more than 1,800 participants, both from Thailand and various parts of the world. The racers eagerly took part in various race categories: A half marathon, mini marathon, and fun run. Beyond being a community affair, the event injects vibrancy into Pattaya’s tourism sector and bolsters the local economy.
