Pattaya Vending Machine Thief Caught While Napping, Other Two Suspects Flee

Pattaya – One suspect was caught for breaking into and stealing money from car-washing and water-dispenser machines in the Pattaya area on September 20th, 2023. His two accomplices fled.

The suspect’s hideout was in the Huai Yai sub-district, Banglamung district, Chonburi province. Police officers from the Huai Yai and Nongprue Police Stations were dispatched to the location.

The suspect, identified only as Mr. Wutchai or Ton, 38 years old, was arrested on sight while taking a nap. Police found multiple pieces of evidence, including a motorcycle, clothes, and shoes that matched those worn by the suspect in the CCTV footage. The other two suspects were alert and had fled before the officers arrived. They were later identified only by their nicknames of Art and Keng by police.

Ton, the prime suspect, confessed that his identity matched the man in the CCTV footage and that the motorcycle in the footage belonged to him. He further admitted that Art and Keng were also involved in stealing money from car washing and water dispenser machines in Pattaya.

Consequently, the Pattaya police squad placed Ton in custody. They are conducting a further investigation to capture Art and Keng to hold them accountable for their crime.
