Jomtien Beach Fishermen Acknowledge Disorganization, Promise Improvements

Pattaya —

Local fishermen in Jomtien have pledged improvements, after they faced heavy complaints regarding the uncleanliness of Jomtien Beach, particularly in the area where they have brought their boats ashore and set up a temporary seafood market.

Complaints have been lodged against the fishermen by concerned citizens over the current disorganized and cluttered state of this section of Jomtien Beach. The mess has created an unsightly image for tourists and harmed the city’s overall tourism.

The concerned area specifically involves the docking area for the local fishing community near the Chaiyapreuk intersection. The critics expressed that this area is cluttered and untidy, with the fishermen’s equipment and personal belongings scattered all over the place.

The state of the area has raised concerns that it contradicts the city’s dedication to maintaining the beaches cleanliness to cater to both tourists and residents alike.

In response to these concerns, Mr. Nares Saelee, chairman of the local fishermen’s group in Jomtien Beach, admitted that the area is indeed cluttered and unclean. He expressed his colleagues’ sincere intention to improve the area while inviting the public to follow up on their progress within a week.

The fishing group extended their apologies to the residents and tourists for the inconvenience caused. They also pledged to implement measures to ensure that such oversights do not happen again in the future.
