13 Vietnamese Suspects Arrested by Pattaya Police for Running Online Gambling Website

On Tuesday, August 29th, Pattaya police arrested 13 Vietnamese nationals for running an online gambling website. The arrest followed a previous incident on August 21st, where a group of Vietnamese individuals were involved in a robbery in the Phra Khanong area of Bangkok.

Police launched a follow-up investigation after the robbery and discovered that the same Vietnamese people were involved in the gambling operation. After the robbery, the suspects evaded the authorities and sought refuge in the Pattaya area.

At about 12:30 AM on August 29th, authorities raided an unnamed hotel on Pattaya Third Road and arrested the 13 suspects. Police seized two computer screens, CPUs, 25 laptops, and over 58 mobile phones that were believed to have been used to operate the online gambling website.

All suspects were taken into custody for interrogation at the Pattaya Police Station.

They were charged with conspiring to facilitate and promote online gambling and luring others to engage in illegal gambling activities.
