Asia International Guitar Festival & Competition 2023: 1-3 September 2023 at Avani Sukhumvit Bangkok Hotel

Bangkok, Thailand : Avani Sukhumvit Bangkok Hotel and the Thailand Guitar Society, in association with Savarez Strings, the Faculty of Music, Silpakorn University, and fai-fah by ttb, are proud to present South-East Asia’s finest gathering of international guitar players, makers, and enthusiasts during 1-3 September, 2023, at Avani Sukhumvit Bangkok Hotel. The Asia International Guitar Festival & Competition, now in its 23rd year, is the region’s biggest and most vibrant event for classical guitar enthusiasts and music lovers.

This year’s agenda includes master classes, guitar exhibits, competitions, and concerts by acclaimed world-class musicians hailing from around the globe. This event is sponsored by Ayadaguitars, Guitar Paradiso, Kohnomusic, ttb, and Visesnut. The festival is a 3-day event where each day concludes with a concert by guitar maestros.

The full list of internationally acclaimed guests includes Gérard Abiton (France), Admir Doci (Italy, Albania), Cassie Martin (France), Leon Koudelak (Czech), Huy Thanh Nguyen (Vietnam), Pongpat Pongpradit (Thailand), Panuphan Prasithikunaporn (Thailand), Worrrapat Yansupap (Thailand), Vuong Quoc Anh (Vietnam), Siam Guitar Quartet (Thailand), and CGO Classic Guitar Orchestra (Thailand).

All concerts and competitions are held on the 7th floor of the Avani Sukhumvit Bangkok Hotel at Cashmere Room. The opening concert, the guitar test, and the mini concert are free to attend to the public. The evening concert ticket is THB500 for adults and THB250 for students (with valid I.D.). Masterclass tickets are THB 700 per person for all audiences. The observer ticket for the competition session is THB 100 per person for all audiences, while the masterclass ticket is THB 200 per person.
