Sri Racha —
A blaze broke out in the ceiling of the 15th floor of a local hospital in Sri Racha district on Monday afternoon, August 14th. Nobody was hurt by the incident.
Emergency response teams first received a notification of the incident just before 1 PM that a fire had broken out at the Somdej Phra Boromratchathewi Na Sriracha Hospital in Chonburi province.
An unknown number of patients and medical personnel were evacuated from the 26-floor Srisavarinthiranusorn 150 Years Building of the hospital. The fire department reported no injuries.
The fire was quelled about 15 minutes after the authorities’ arrival.
An unnamed hospital worker stated that the blaze first started in a ceiling of the building’s finance and security office on the 15th floor. Black smoke was observed emerging suddenly from the ceiling, which gradually increased over time. Subsequently, the hospital ordered an evacuation.
An investigation into the cause of the incident is ongoing.
