Fire Damages Pattaya Condo

Pattaya —

A fire erupted at a condominium in Pattaya Wednesday night, August 9th. Nobody was injured, according to authorities.

The fire was reported at 7 PM at the TW Condominium in the Banglamung district of Chonburi. Fire engines accompanied by Sawang Boriboon rescue services rushed to the scene following a notification.

The blaze occurred in a residential room, emerging around the television, air conditioning unit, and ceiling. Smoke quickly spread throughout the room.

Mr. Anan Mingkwan, 42, a resident of the condo and Good Samaritan, reported that he observed smoke coming out from within the room. He quickly ascended the fire exit stairs to the room along with the condo staff. They utilized chemical extinguishers to suppress the flames before notifying the authorities for assistance.

The fire department spent a few minutes snuffing out the flames. Condo residents were evacuated from the area, and nobody was hurt, according to authorities. Fire department officials praised Mr. Anan and condo security/staff for quick work in helping to fight the fire themselves.

The cause of the fire was under investigation but may have been the faulty air conditioning unit seen above or an extension cable. The total financial damage was still being assessed as of press time.
