An unidentified flying object (UFO) was spotted in Pattaya Monday, awing tourists and residents.
Reported in the evening of August 7th, the presence of the UFO rather brought delight and amusement than shock and fear to those who sighted it as instead of hovering ominously in the sky, it was comically moving along Pattaya Klang Road, with the rider, who was apparently a human, waving at passersby.
Many people, especially tourists, were surprised to see the alien vehicle, later found to be made of a child’s version of a desert buggy gliding on the road. People took pictures and videos of it and shared it on Facebook, causing the phenomenon to quickly become the talk of the town.
Spotted inside what was supposed to be the UFO’s dome mirror like in the movies was a Thai man named “Papa Nu (ป๋าหนู).” It is understood that this 63-year-old Thai man once brought the laughter and smiles to tourists back in 2020 when he created a comical spectacle, riding a small motorbike transformed into a whimsical vehicle that resembled a magical broomstick.
Papa Nu, back then, adorned his motorbike with wooden elements and enchanting lights, after which he rode along Pattaya streets, waving his hand in greeting to the travelers, resembling a cheerful wizard on his magical journey.
According to him, the motive behind his latest creative endeavor was to spread joy and elicit smiles from those who witnessed his mimic flying saucer. This spectacle was also aimed at adding vibrancy and promoting tourism in the city of Pattaya, he said.
