The body of Ms. Songkran Phadunglom, 23, was found lying at the entrance of Soi Thung Klom Tan Man 10 in Pattaya at 11 PM. She had sustained a broken neck and was pronounced dead at the site by Sawang Boriboon rescuers.

According to an eyewitness who notified the rescue team, Ms. Kotchakorn Ngao-ngam, she said she saw a black pickup truck, uncertain about the brand, with a lowered suspension and racing modifications. The driver seemed to lose control of the vehicle and collided with a roadside power pole, before quickly fleeing the scene.

After the truck was gone, Ms. Kotchakorn noticed a woman lying on the road with an overturned motorcycle. Realizing that she might have been hit by the truck, Ms. Kotchakorn immediately shouted for others in the vicinity to quickly follow the pickup, but unfortunately no one managed to catch up.

The rescue team transferred the body of Ms. Songkran to Banglamung Hospital. The police are reviewing CCTV recordings of the incident in a bid to identify the truck driver for legal repercussions.
