Pattaya to Re-open Bunkanchanaram Intersection on August 15th

Pattaya —

The Bunkanchanaram Intersection will be open for traffic once again on August 15th after being closed to facilitate roadwork on Sukhumvit Road.

The Deputy Mayor of Pattaya Mr. Manoch Nongyai on Thursday, August 3rd, went to monitor the progress of the road improvement project on Sukhumvit Road at the Bunkanchanaram Intersection. The representatives of the contracting company, Boonkitthana Limited Partnership, were present to provide a detailed explanation of the work to Manoch.

Bunkanchanaram Intersection is one of the affected sites from the improvement project to improve the deteriorating road surface of Sukhumvit Road. Other affected crossroads include Chaiyaphruek Intersection, Motorway Intersection, and North Pattaya Intersection.

The construction has been in progress since early April 2023 and will be fully completed in February 2024. The construction commenced at the Bunkanchanaram Intersection on the inbound side to Sattahip, rendering it nonfunctional for around one month.

According to the contracting company, however, the work in this area has nearly been completed, with the intersection expected to re-open for public use on August 15th.
