Pattaya —

A tragedy happened in Pattaya last night when a 23-year-old Thai man was run over and killed by a tour bus. The driver of the bus claimed that the victim travelled at high speed on his motorbike and crashed into his vehicle.

Sawang Boriboon rescue services arrived at the scene of the accident on Soi Kho Pai 5 in the Banglamung district of Pattaya at 10:20 PM on July 30th, 2023 to find the victim lying deceased in a pool of blood behind a blue tour bus registered in Bangkok.

Later identified as Mr. Marut Jaisa, a 23-year-old Thai national, the victim was run over by the bus and tragically passed away at the scene. His white Honda PCX motorbike was found to have forcefully collided with the bus’s bumper.

When he reached the scene of the accident, which was a curved road, the victim suddenly came riding his motorcycle at high speed, crossing the lane, and crashing into his bus. Morakot revealed that he could not brake in time, resulting in a full impact collision. Upon his inspection, he discovered that the bus had run over the victim and killed him. Morakot immediately notified the authorities.

The police took pictures of the accident scene as evidence. The body of the victim is being kept at Banglamung Hospital for further funeral arrangements. No details about possible legal actions against the bus driver have been revealed to the press.
