Chonburi —
Two drug suspects were arrested in the Banglamung district of Chonburi on Monday, July 17th, following a tipoff from concerned citizens.
The first arrest was conducted at a house within the Takhian Tia sub-district after an anonymous resident reported to police that a Thai man was clandestinely selling narcotics to adolescent customers in the area.
During the raid operation, the police successfully apprehended the suspect only identified as Mr. Wicha, 38, along with the seized evidence including 1,155 methamphetamine pills, 5.52 grams of crystal methamphetamine, a digital weighing scale, and a mobile phone.
The suspect was arrested in his bedroom. The police also detected drugs in his system. Wicha confessed to the allegations, claiming he bought the drugs from a Thai transgender person, who goes by the name “Boss.”
Since Boss also resided in the Takhian Tia sub-district, the Banglamung police decided to expand the search operation to the targeted room, leading to the discovery of Ms. Pawinee, also known as Boss, 36.
During the search of her room, the authorities discovered 389 methamphetamine pills and 6.81 grams of crystal methamphetamine. These illicit substances were divided into small packets and concealed within a pillowcase and under the carpet behind the refrigerator.
Additionally, the police seized two firearms along with over 120 rounds of ammunition, two bank account books, and one mobile phone from the suspect. They put the two alleged dealers into custody at the Banglamung police station.
