July 15, 2023. The VFW Post 9876 Auxiliary (Veterans Wives Club), Post Members, and Friends of the Post, visited the House of Grace Foundation for HIV Infected children and orphans of parents who died of AIDS.
Organized by Auxiliary Commander Maleefee Guarnuccio, the Post donated bedding, food, cooking supplies and cash.
They also provided lunch for the children. The foundation, located in the Chanthaburi Province, currently shelters 26 persons from ages 6 through 20+. Their main objective is to promote child development by encouraging them to attend school, as well as education and training for adolescents and young adults who are preparing for the work force.
The foundation ensures each child receives the care needed so they can become mentally and physically able to live out a normal life in society on their own. The House of Grace is a Christian organization founded in 1996. They operate mainly on donations and contributions, and receive some assistance from the municipality.
