Possible Skeleton of a Human Baby Found Near Pattaya

Banglamung –

The possible skeleton of a human baby was found near a reservoir in Huay Yai.

The Huay Yai Police Deputy Chief Lieutenant Colonel Pichit Wattanoe was notified from local residents that they believe they found infant human skeletons in a forest near the Chak Nok Reservoir on Wednesday (July 12th).

They and the Pattaya News arrived at the scene to find a large open-air cement box. Inside they found burnt skeletons similar to a human baby skeleton. Nearby they also found a monkey doll.

Mr. Deedoo, 30, a Cambodian worker who goes by only one name, told Huay Yai police that he saw an unknown man who looked similar to a migrant worker burning something at the cement box earlier this week.

Mr. Surachai Seawthong, 52, a cow farmer in the area, told the Pattaya News that he saw a zinc sheet covering the cement box with some heat coming out before he opened the zinc sheet and discovered the skeletons on Wednesday.

Another unnamed witness said he saw the unidentified man accused of burning something carrying something folded in a cloth before burning it.

Police said they have yet to confirm if the bones found are human skeletons and they have been sent to a forensics office for further study. Meanwhile, they are reviewing CCTV at the reservoir to attempt to identify the man seen by witnesses burning something at the cement box.
