Thief Steals Bag from Sick Security Guard in Pattaya While He Rests His Eyes

Pattaya —

A thief stole a bag containing various valuable items from a 59-year-old security guard with hemiparesis in Pattaya on July 7th.

The bag belonged to Mr. Surasak Mathes, a security guard of an unnamed apartment complex within Soi Sukhumvit Pattaya 52 of Nongprue sub-district, Banglamung district, Chonburi province.

According to him, he was guarding an apartment complex while sitting on a bench in front of the premises. While he was resting his eyes, a male perpetrator, wearing black jeans and a black long-sleeved shirt, slowly approached him, grabbed his bag containing valuable items such as amulets, an ATM card, and important documents, and then fled.

The thief was clearly captured on a CCTV camera. The incident happened in the middle of the night on Friday, July 7th.

According to Mr. Surasak’s employer and apartment owner, Mr. Piphu (last name withheld), he explained that his father had hired Mr. Surasak to work for him out of sympathy because Mr. Surasak was suffering from hemiparesis and had no job.

He also said that Mr. Surasak had actually fallen victim to a similar crime twice over the past, so he wanted to alert the police to come investigate and catch the suspect.
