Man Secretly Squats in Pattaya Homeowner’s Unoccupied Home and Steals 200,000 Baht of Belongings

Pattaya —

A stranger furtively squatted in a homeowner’s unoccupied house in Pattaya and stole over 200,000 baht worth of her belongings.

47-year-old Victim Ms. Ngamrat Kitiwimol filed a report to Pattaya police on Thursday, July 6th, 2023, saying she felt like someone had snuck into her house in Pattaya, lived there, and left with her furniture and wires.

The Thai woman told The Pattaya News that a person had placed a white bedsheet over her barbed-wire wall to get inside, and stole a lot of her items worth over 200,000 baht in total. She discovered disconnected electrical wires and debris all over the floor and a bed, pillows, and fans piled up in the middle of the house.

Ms. Ngamrat said the house was undergoing renovation and she was not there for some time, but yesterday she just decided to inspect the premises. She promptly notified the police once she saw that someone had broken into her home.

Pattaya police were reviewing CCTV cameras to find clues.

It was unclear how long the squatter had stayed at the property before leaving with Ms. Ngamrat’s property.
