Road Accident Kills Sattahip Naval Officer

A naval officer in Sattahip crashed his big bike into a sedan and died on the spot on Sunday, July 2nd.

The victim, 23-year-old Anon Mung-Ueklang, a Petty Officer Third Class from the Naval Aviation Command Unit of Royal Thai Navy, was found deceased on Sukhumvit Road inbound to Rayong province in Sattahip district, Chonburi province.

Anon was reported to have crashed his Kawasaki Z900 motorbike into a Honda City sedan and died due to critical injuries. His motorbike was found near the body with significant damage and components scattered on the road.

The accident was reported to police at the Sattahip Police Station at 01:00 AM on Sunday. Anon died despite the rescue workers’ attempt to resuscitate him.

According to the involved sedan driver, Mrs. Naiyana Dejprarom, 52, she claimed that the deceased crashed into her from the rear while she was preparing to accelerate at a traffic light. She mentioned that the impact was forceful, indicating that the victim may have been traveling at a high speed.

Police are reviewing CCTV footage to find the exact cause of the accident.
