The Rotary Club of Pattaya, Pattaya’s oldest club, held a ceremony on Monday, July 3rd, to welcome their new president. Pattaya Mayor Poramase Ngampiches also attended the event.
Poramase was honored to congratulate Mr. Jahangir Hossain for assuming the position of President of the Rotary Club for the 2023-2024 term yesterday at the Unique Regency Hotel. Mr. Hossain is well-known locally especially for his positive contributions to the Bangladeshi-Thai Community in Pattaya.
Mr. Jahangir assumed the position to replace Mr. Dan Schwartz, whose term came to an end in 2023.
The objectives of the Rotary Club include:
- Encourage fellowship and teamwork through service activities.
- Promote ethical and professional standards in business, seeing professions as a means to serve society.
- Inspire people to serve in their personal lives, businesses, and communities.

The club has regular meetings on Mondays twice a month in Pattaya at 19.00 pm. (Fellowship starts at 18.30 pm). Guests are welcome if you wish to hear how you can help out in the local community or inquire about joining the Rotary Club of Pattaya.
