Drunk Man Bothers Nearby Table at Open-air Bar and Gets Humbled in Pattaya

Pattaya —

A drunk man caused a disturbance in a herbal liquor (Yadong) venue in Pattaya last night and was subsequently beaten by other patrons. The man pledged he would seek revenge after he recovered.

Sawang Boriboon rescuers assisted a heavily intoxicated man, Mr. Wasin Bunthai, 31, from Surat Thani province, at 10:30 PM last night, July 3rd, after he was attacked by a group of anonymous people.

Wasin sustained multiple injuries, including bruises, swelling, and bleeding on his face. He claimed to The Pattaya News that the attackers assaulted him for unknown reasons. However, before he was transferred to a local hospital, Wasin declared he would seek revenge on every person who attacked him, as he could memorize their faces, despite being drunk.

The incident in which Wasin was involved took place at an unnamed herbal liquor venue inside Phothisarn Market within the Naklua sub-district of Banglamung district, Chonburi province.

Police and Sawang Boriboon rescuers were called to the scene. The Pattaya News conducted an interview about the incident with eyewitness and venue owner Mr. Watchara Rangrit, 58. He said Wasin arrived at his shop already under the influence of alcohol. He then sat down and consumed a significant amount of Ya Dong (herbal liquor) before walking to a nearby table and suddenly began to randomly massage other customers who were strangers to him.

Initially, everything appeared to be fine, but as Wasin ordered more drinks, he started to exhibit erratic behavior, causing discomfort among those in the vicinity. Eventually, he was beaten by the other patrons. He also fell off his chair and sustained injuries, according to Watchara.

Information from other witnesses revealed that Wasin also vandalized the property of a nearby massage parlor before he arrived at the Ya Dong shop. Police are reviewing CCTV footage to file charges against all those involved.
