Pattaya Baht Bus Reportedly Hits Foreign Motorcyclist and Flees

Pattaya —

A vehicle, which an eyewitness said was a baht bus, hit a foreign motorcyclist on Pattaya Beach Road and then fled. The accident happened at 03:30 AM today, June 25th, in front of the Hard Rock Hotel.

Sawang Boriboon rescuers found the victim of an unknown identity on Beach Road. The foreign male was lying on the ground with a head injury. He displayed symptoms resembling alcohol intoxication, the rescuers told The Pattaya News.

His black ADV 150 Honda motorbike was found fallen nearby. The victim was rushed to a local hospital.

In an interview with an eyewitness, 38-year-old Ms. Prinya Kamphaengphet, she said she was out for a walk when she noticed the injured victim racing side by side with a vehicle that resembled a baht bus. The two then collided with one another, causing the motorbike to overturn and the victim to fall in the middle of the street.

Prinya quickly grabbed her phone and recorded the incident. She said the driver of the car only briefly stopped to check his vehicle and then drove away without showing any concern for the injured foreigner. Prinya then made a phone call to notify the authorities.

The police are reviewing CCTV footage of the accident to track down the involved driver and working on identifying the motorbike rider.
