Motorcyclist Crashes into Parked Car in Pattaya and Suffers Serious Injuries

A Thai man aged around 40 years old accidentally crashed his motorbike into a sedan parked on the side of the road. He sustained serious injuries.

The accident happened at 2:30 AM this morning, June 20th, on the road leading to Phratamnak Soi 6 within the Nongprue sub-district of Banglamung district, Chonburi province. A rescue team from the Sawang Boriboon Thammasat Rescue Foundation immediately rushed to the scene upon receiving the notification.

At the scene of the accident, rescuers found a bronze gold Honda Rebel motorcycle fallen on the road. Parked in front of it was a black Toyota Yaris sedan. The car and the motorbike bore considerable damage. The bike’s ill-fated rider was found lying unconscious nearby.

The rider suffered serious head injuries and was rushed to a local hospital. He could not be identified.

The Pattaya News interviewed a witness, 18-year-old Ms. Muenfun Thongthap, about the accident. She recounted that while she was sitting on her balcony, she heard a loud noise resembling a car crash. She then quickly stood up and looked out, only to discover a motorcycle had collided with the rear of a parked sedan on the side of the road.

Muenfun notified the authorities after seeing the injured man.

The victim is under close medical attention. There are no reports on the condition of the sedan driver.
