Chonburi –

A Russian motorbike rider died after he collided his motorbike with a truck in Mueang Chonburi.

The Mueang Chonburi Police was notified of the accident on Tuesday morning (June 13th) on Sukhumvit Road near the Wiboon Thammrak Intersection in Nong Maidang.

Police and rescue workers arrived at the scene to find the body of a 45-year-old Russian man (The Pattaya is withholding his name pending embassy and family notification).

His body was still on his motorbike which had crashed into the rear end of the truck. Near the motorbike police found a bluetooth speaker which was still playing music loudly and appeared to be owned by the deceased Russian man.

The truck driver, Mr. Yutthana Sapsin, 42, told police that he was stopped at a red light at an intersection before the motorbike rider crashed into the back of his vehicle

Police are continuing their investigation to find the exact cause of the accident but believe music could possibly have distracted the victim.
