Pattaya, Thailand-
Two people were injured, one seriously, in an early morning motorbike accident yesterday, June 10th, 2023, on Soi Bongkot in Pattaya.
The accident took place at the entrance of Soi South Pattaya 16/Soi Bongkot in which two motorbikes collided at a crowded intersection.
Both motorbike riders were injured, with Mr. Charin Yuenyao, 35 years old, suffering from abrasions but not seriously wounded. Meanwhile, Mr. Niruslee Mueringung, 33 years old, suffered a serious head wound and was unconscious. He was rushed to a hospital in critical condition with massive blood loss. His condition as of press time was unknown. He had not been wearing a helmet.
A witness, Mr. Jatupol Boonchaisri, 35, told Thai media that he was standing nearby when the accident took place and heard a loud boom when the two drivers collided. However, he said it wasn’t clear who was at fault and his first focus was to call police and rescue services for help.
Pattaya City Police also told The Pattaya News that it was unclear from witness statements what caused the accident and they would resort to reviewing CCTV to attempt to determine the circumstances. Mr. Charin did not immediately provide a statement, saying that he would seek medical treatment for his abrasions first.
