A pickup truck overturned in the small hours of this morning in Pattaya. The driver sustained serious injuries and was trapped in the wreckage.
At 05:06 AM on May 19th, Sawang Boriboon rescuers rushed to a traffic accident site in Soi Chaiyaporn Withi 13 in the Nongprue sub-district of Banglamung district after learning that a pickup truck had overturned and trapped its unfortunate driver and passenger inside.
The rescuers found a black Chevrolet pickup truck lying on its side on the street. The driver, Mr. Suriya Lai-udee, 24, and his girlfriend Ms. Pimsiri Luangsakulchai, 24, were stuck inside the car wreckage. They were promptly liberated, however, Sawang Boriboon rescuers needed to rush Mr. Suriya to a local hospital due to his grievous injuries.
The crash slightly injured Ms. Pimsiri. She gave an interview to The Pattaya News stating her boyfriend suddenly lost control of his pickup, crashed through a wall, and collided with a warning signpost. The impact caused her vehicle to overturn and trapped her and Mr. Suriya inside.
The boyfriend is recovering at a local hospital. Pattaya Police are investigating the incident.
