Woman Stabs Pattaya Beautician’s Face with Scissors Over Alleged Condominium Problem

Pattaya —

A Thai beautician was brutally attacked at her Pattaya beauty shop by another Thai woman who stabbed her in the face with scissors.

The victim, 59-year-old Mrs. Arporn Permpool, contacted Pattaya Police yesterday evening, April 9th, after she was attacked by a woman only identified as Buam, 48.

Mrs. Arporn told Pattaya police that the attack occurred at her beauty salon in Central Pattaya. Buam, who she had known for only a couple of months, allegedly stormed her salon and suddenly smacked her in the face with a mobile phone while she was working, causing her to fall into a customer.

When Arporn asked why she was doing this, Buam, without answering, yanked her hair and then used a pair of scissors to stab Arporn in the face. Mrs. Arporn tried to fight back before a salon customer came to her aid and separated Buam from her. Buam then fled the shop and is still at large as of press time.

Arporn suffered several facial injuries and accepted medical aid at her salon, but none were life threatening and she was able to speak to the press and police.

Mrs. Arporn disclosed to The Pattaya News that the suspect may have been peeved at her because she reportedly refused to drop everything and immediately solve some undisclosed condominium issues for the suspect.

However, Arporn reasoned that she was caught up with her customers at the beauty shop working, so she could not immediately resolve the problem or leave her job.

Pattaya Police are reviewing the CCTV cameras of the beauty shop. They would later summon the suspect and victim for further questioning. It was unclear if Arporn was the landlord for Buam or if the two had been partners together in a condo business, with police stating they would investigate further and get to the bottom of the situation.

Pattaya police also are interviewing several unidentified customers who were at the shop at the time of the incident, including the one who helped push apart the two women.
