A fire gutted a buffet restaurant in Pattaya early this morning. Luckily, nobody was injured.
At 02:30 AM, this morning, April 10th, 2023, Pattaya police were on a routine patrol when they detected a strong smell of something burning coming from a famous buffet restaurant “Yang Noey” located near Sukhumvit Road in Pattaya.
The patrolling officers immediately notified the fire department. Two fire engines were dispatched, and once they arrived at the restaurant, a plume of smoke could already be seen emanating from the kitchen area.
The firefighters used water to battle the fire before eventually extinguishing it. The department continued to monitor the situation for some time to ensure that the blaze did not re-ignite before withdrawing their forces.
Pattaya Police said the blaze did not cause significant damage and that it could have been caused by the negligence of the staff who did not properly extinguish the charcoal found in the kitchen. They will, however, partner with restaurant management on further investigating the incident.
Fortunately, the restaurant was closed, so nobody was injured by the incident.
